Summer Days

I love the mood of these photos. I think that this session really captured the feeling of a southern summer evening. 

This client chose to donate their fee to educate children of rape victims in DR Congo.

 

                             

 

Mountain Girl

I got to visit my brother and his family at their new mountain home in Virginia a few weeks ago.  We happened to be there for my niece’s 8th birthday, so I did a little birthday shoot for her.  It almost didn’t happen – we were so busy that I was about to put it off until our next visit. I took these pictures in the last half hour of our visit – the kids were playing in the water and she ran inside real quick and got ready.  We took some pictures of her dressed up, and then I told her I wanted to do some “mountain girl” photos.  All of my favorites came from that part of the shoot.  She is a mountain girl through and through.

 

There is a reason she is looking at her arm in that last picture!
